The DXL manual describes how to add a callback to a canvase type DBE, this forum describes how to add a callback to choice DBE. But how can I set a callback for a directoryName DBE? When using void set(DBE element, void callBack(DBE)), the callback is triggered only if the DBE's text field is modified manually with pressing enter at the end. But not if the directory is selected using the browser. Is it possible to define a callback which is triggered whenever the content of the DBE changes? Is there any alternative for this scrappy old directoryName DBE? Perhaps something where the user may paste a path from clipboard or create new folders? Twonky - Fri Oct 30 06:31:32 EDT 2015 |
Re: Callback for DBE directoryName? Alternative directory browser? Sounds like a bug in DOORS for me. What version are you using? This code perfectly fires the "ack" after browsing:
DB loader = centered "Hallo"
DBE fn = fileName(loader, "input.dat", "*.*", "All files")
void test(DBE) { ack "Hallo" }
set(fn, test)
show loader
There exist a few File / Directory browsers that you control using the COM interface. You might want to look for those on the forum and checkout if they suit your needs. Other people have used clever "timers" to check if the value of some elements have changed to solve similar issues. Regards, Mathias
